
Elder Michael McCurry
Elder Michael J. McCurry was born October 28, 1967 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He spent the majority of his childhood life in Waukegan, IL. During his youth he attended First Corinthian Baptist Church. He confessed Christ at the age of seven and was baptize.
After graduating high school, he joined the military. While assigned to duty in Baumhalder, West Germany he met a solider by the name of Tammie Ross. The two were married on October 29, 1988. Elder McCurry and his wife Evangelist McCurry are the proud parents of six daughters: Brittney, Alyssa, Jasmine, Takia, Mikala, and Ashley. In November of 2000 the McCurry Family was selected one of the Family Guidance Center of Alabama, Outstanding Family of the Year.
In 1995 Elder McCurry joined New Life Church of God in Christ. He was licensed as a minister on August 5, 1996. His first sermon was entitled "What's in your heart"? He attended the C.H. Mason Bible College School of Schools from March 1997 to March 1999. He was ordained as an Elder in August 1999. In May 2002 , Elder McCurry received his Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University. In 2003, he was appointed as Interim Co-Pastor of New Life Church of God in Christ Annex 1. Elder Michael McCurry has been appointed as Co-Pastor of Consuming Fire Ministries in Montgomery, AL where the Pastor is Hoza Billups.
God has given Elder McCurry a heart for hurting families and individuals. In 2000 Elder McCurry and Evangelist McCurry founded TRM Counseling Service and later in 2004 TRM Ministries INC. , a 501(C)3 tax-exempt ministry. These ministries have been birthed to assist individuals and families in the process of healing by helping to repair the breach in relationships. In April 2007, God called Elder McCurry and Evangelist McCurry to launch TRM Ministries out into full time ministry and now they conduct marriage and family enrichment seminars, workshops, conferences, and training courses.
