Evangelist Tammie R. McCurry
has been married to her husband Michael for twenty years.
She is the mother of six daughters:
Brittney, Alyssa, Jasmine, Takia, Mikala, and Ashley
McCurry. She is a
graduate of Southern Christian University in
Montgomery
,
Alabama
where she received the Masters of Science degree in Counseling
with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy.
She was the first African American and the first female to
receive the Winnie Hohn Christian Counseling Award from the
University. She
currently holds an Associate license in the field of Marriage and
Family Therapy.
Evangelist McCurry served as evangelist,
youth coordinator, and secretary at New Life Church of God in
Christ in
Montgomery
,
Alabama
for twelve years. She
accepted her call to the ministry and preached her first message
entitled “The One That Escaped” in July 1998. In
November 1999, she was licensed as an evangelist in the Churches
of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Terry
Ellison. In 2003,
Evangelist McCurry authored a book entitled Building The
Unbreakable Bond which focuses on assisting the reader with
understanding God’s plan for marriage and the steps needed to
create an unbreakable bond in the marital relationship.
In April 2007, God called Evangelist and
Elder McCurry to focus full time on the mission of To Restore
Multitudes Ministries, which is restoring broken marriages and
families. They have
begun a crusade to save as many marriages as possible by preaching
and teaching the unadulterated Word of God and helping couples to
understand God’s views concerning divorce.
In an effort to reach couples, Evangelist and Elder McCurry
have developed a marriage enrichment course entitled Covenant
Keepers which combines Biblical principles and real-life
application in educating couples on maintaining healthy marital
relationships.
Evangelist Tammie R. McCurry is anointed by
God to preach with compassion and power.
Her heart’s desire is to assist broken families and
marriages in the process of healing.
